Welcome to Mrs. Fryer's Classroom website! This is a space where I share lessons and links for my students, and for other teachers. I am Shelly Fryer, an elementary teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to teaching 5th graders during the school year, I enjoy teaching a variety of STEM and Space Education summer camps for students. I also teach after-school / enrichment classes.

When I taught at Positive Tomorrows in Oklahoma City from 2013 - 2017, I maintained OKC Explorers, a previous version of this website. I taught 5th grade and used a variety of STEM lessons and MakerSpace activities to teach concepts and skills across the curriculum.
When I taught at Casady School in Oklahoma City from 2017 - 2022 I also maintained a classroom website, which is archived on the Wayback Machine of the Internet Archive.
I have a Mastodon account but am not active there currently.

"Building classroom community" is very important to me as a teacher. I shared some webinars for Seesaw about how my students and I use technology to build classroom community back in April 2018 and September 2018 when I was teaching 3rd grade at Casady School in Oklahoma City.
